I am a 1986 graduate of Miami University. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th
grade Language Arts for two years and 1st grade for four years at St. Julie
Billiart in Hamilton, Ohio. In 1992, I decided to become a stay-at-home
mom! I have two children...Tony, who is a sophomore at LaSalle High School, and
Alli, who is in the seventh grade at SBCS. I had always been a volunteer here at the
school and thought that I would continue to volunteer for a few more years,
but all of that changed when I was asked to do two long-term substitute
positions here at St. Barts. As soon as I got back into the classroom, I
remembered how much I loved being with the children and how rewarding it is
to teach. So...here I am again!
My mission for this class is to nuture students in their faith and in their
academics. I hope to create a respectful atmosphere that will enhance their
ability to learn academically as well as socially. I also hope to enrich my
students lives through modeling respectful behavior and keeping individual
needs in mind. I try to teach my students to be responsible for their
actions and how to handle their actions in a Christian manner. Jesus is the
center of our classroom.
