~12-4-09
Early December greetings. We're cruising along in 6th & 8th grade
Social Studies. It's a busy & exciting time, as many are anxious for
Christmas to arrive. We're focused though & working hard. (I hope
my U.C. Bearcats stay focused this weekend as they strive for a
perfect 12-0 season!

) Please catch up on our classroom news
below & consider casting your vote in our new Poll of the Week.
God Bless,
Mr. Renner
6th Grade:
-On Monday, Nov 30, students were assigned a research project. It is due
Dec 17th. (Students must have pre-approval for websites not on my links
page. Students have been told that deadline is Dec 9th.) We have & will take
class time for questions every day. I am available every day during study hall
with students as well. Sample papers from the "Box of Greatness" have been
shown off & are available for the students to preview to inspire your own
brilliance.
-Some 6th graders need to be more proactive checking in with me when
absent. My 8th graders have been reliable in this area, but there's room for
improvement with my 6th graders.
-Our recent creative writing assignments are on display in the hallway. Great
job!
8th Grade:
-We've learned about the Spanish American War and all the exciting
adventures of Presidents Cleveland & McKinley. 20th century, here we
come! ... Power School is up to date.
-Stay focused ... keep working.
Homeroom 308:
-We are in need of Clorox wipes, if you're feeling so generous. The new
school mandate this year to disinfect every single day has caused us
to almost deplete out entire supply, which use to last me all year.
If you can, please donate another container of Clorox wipes.
