About The Teacher

Welcome to our website!  My name is Linda Davenport and this will be my 10th 
year of teaching at Southington.  I have 3 children of my own, ages 12, 5, and
2!  I am currently enrolled at Kent State University to receive my
Masters Degree in Reading.  After that, I am planning on gaining a 2nd masters
in Library Technology.  It is my goal to end my teaching career as an
Elementary Librarian/Computer teacher.  For the time being, I promise to work
my hardest to ignite the passion of learning within my students.  The greatest
accomplishment I have each year is transforming my students into fluent readers.

Mission For The Class

The mission of our classroom is to create a community of learners within a 
challenging learning environment. We will work towards fostering a desire to 
become active citizens with creative minds.  Our students will have a sense 
of compassion and understanding for others as well as learn skills necessary 
for success in the twenty-first century.
