The Blue and White Club has not only helped boost individual and corporate support of Springboro High School Panther Hockey, but will also keep the Panthers competitive with other larger members of the Southwest Ohio High School Hockey League both financially and athletically. The Blue and White Club is an annual fund-raising program and membership organization with attractive benefits for sports enthusiasts established solely for the purpose of generating financial and other support for Panther Ice Hockey. The club was created with the initial goal of raising corporate and individual donations in order to compete. Today, the club has evolved to represent a social organization for many individuals and companies who enjoy entertaining clients, family and friends at the games, in addition to the pregame and postgame parties. Thus, the Blue and White Club relies heavily on the community and local businesses to help fund the ice hockey programs. With a growing membership of most influential business people, the club recognizes the enormous influence the Springboro High School Panther Ice Hockey programs have on the local economy and local exposure. Despite the common assumption that the ice hockey program receives its funding from the Springboro Community Schools, the Springboro High School Panther Ice Hockey Association has an annual operating budget and expenses of $40,000.00 all of the $40,000.00 must be supplemented by ice hockey athletic-generated revenue, Springboro Community Schools provides no funding for this program at all. Donations in any form not just from the Blue and White Club help support one boy's and girls varsity and junior varsity ice hockey teams by providing for a full range of necessities to operate a quality, locally competitive program including practice and game ice, referees, equipment, uniforms and travel costs including future expansion of the Springboro High School Panther Ice Hockey programs.
