Process

For each step, these are several processes which must be followed. Be sure to
complete each process in every step. Not only will this ensure your best 
chance at landing that job you want, but also ensures getting a good grade 
on this unit.

Refer back to this page as you proceed on to each different step.

Job Search tasks:
1. Complete the Free Career Interest Test and print out the results. Put the 
printout in your folder.

2. Print out the Job Profile Data worksheet (see link at left). 

3. Research the additional locations and compile your findings onto the Job 
Profile Data worksheet. Put the completed, handwritten, worksheet into your 
folder.

4. Collect two help wanted ads for which you are currently qualified. Print 
these ads and place them in your folder.

5. Complete the Personal Profile Data Sheet in PENCIL. Place this in your 
folder.

6. See Career Narrative description and examples. 

7. Create a Word document titled "Career Narrative of (your name)". Spell 
and grammar check the document. Have two other classmates proofread it. Edit 
and revise as needed. Print out an error-free copy of your career narrative. 
Make a copy onto your CD-R.

8. Print out and complete the What Is A Resume Worksheet(see link at left).

9. Selecting a template of your choice, create an error free resume.

10. Print out and complete the Cover Letter Worksheet ( see link at left).

11. Compose an error free cover letter using information from one of the job 
ads you previously located. Remember to research the company.

12. Print out and complete the Job Application. Place this in your folder.

13. Print out and complete the Interview Worksheet(see link at left) and 
place it in your 
folder.

14. Participate in the mock interview.
