Through the State of Ohio, we have a number of great resources that are 
provided free of charge to our students.  User Names and Passwords are 
provided on your Progress Book school information page. This link will get 
you to a number of free learning tools, many of which are being taught in 
computer class. These include reference tools, citation tools, and a number 
of other links.  The main source for these tools is www.leeca.org, the link 
to our DA site (Data Acquisition Site).

Book Adventure is a free "Accelerated Reader" type of motivational 
reading program that you can do at home.  Parents, please note that 
this is not associated with Accelerated Reader, but can help you in 
motivating your children to read.

Totlol is a community-moderated video website designed for kids under the age
of 13.
All videos available at Totlol are intended to be enjoyed by kids. At the same
time Totlol filters the "bad videos" it also eliminates most of the
frustration involved in looking for "good videos". Parents and kids
can thus
focus on "how interesting" instead of "if relevant" and on
"how likable"
instead of "is appropriate".

United Streaming is an awesome site that allows students to download

WVIZ is a wonderful resource for students, teachers and parents.  There are
articles, educational links and downloadable videos and lesson plans.  Check

The Ohio Memory website is an online scrapbook of Ohio history.  This 
site takes you to 26,000 primary sources from 330 archives, historical 
societies, libraries and museums that document Ohio's past from 
prehistory through the present.  The site includes fun games!  Check it 
out!

The Thinkfinity educational website is your gateway to lessons and 
activities sponsored by seven major educational consortiums.  For 
example, the National Council for Teacher of Mathematics and the 
National Geographic Society both have a number of excellent resources 
on this site.  While this is generally a teacher site, I encourage parents 
and students to look at this as a wonderful resource.  There are 
excellent educational games and learning tools at your fingertips on this 
site.  Start on the right hand side - or hit "Search Thinkfinity" on
the top 
right.

This is a great teaching tool that is free of charge.  This secure site 
allows teachers to create a secure, closed chat environment that students 
can access. Teachers can post interesting questions, link students to 
specific activities, and have students post responses that may be viewed by 
either the teacher alone or by the entire class, thus allowing for 
stimulating Internet discussions.

The Surfing the Net with Kids website is a great site for students,
