Dear St. Albert the Great Parents, September 3, 2009
I'd like to start by introducing myself. My name is Mary Ellen Dailey. Currently my husband Pat and I have 1 child enrolled at St. Albert's (Jack, Mrs. Ruh’s 2nd Grade) and 2 more to follow. This year I have decided to assist the PTO with a program called "Box Tops for Education". I'm hoping that many of you are somewhat familiar with those little pink rectangles found on so many of your grocery store purchases. For those of you who aren’t pay close attention to #1 below.
Did you know that there are more ways to earn money through "Box Tops for Education" then just cutting out those little rectangles and sending them in? We can earn up to $80,000.00 with this program alone!
There are 4 ways to participate and each can earn $20,000.00 for the school!
#1 - CLIP - Stash this pink envelope in your silverware drawer or another convenient place. Clip off the Box Tops from participating products (see additional sheet for a list of products); stash them in the envelope. Once you have a decent amount... send them in with your child. AND YES! IT'S THAT EASY! I count them and put 50 of them in a baggy, fill out some paperwork and send them... a few weeks later... we receive a check.

#2 - MARKETPLACE – Log onto www.boxtops4education.com, through the Marketplace tab you can link to retail web sites and they will kick back a certain % of your purchase to St. Albert's automatically. Plus there are many great deals you can take advantage of. I just noticed Oriental Trading Co. was offering $10.00 off a purchase of $40.00 or more. There are also loads of great printable coupons. Please note that merchants may change from time to time.
#3 - READING ROOM – Log onto www.boxtops4education.com, through the Reading Room tab Barnes & Noble will kick back as much as 6% of your purchase to St. Albert automatically. See details on the web site.
#4 - MY CLASSROOM ESSENTIALS – “My Classroom Essentials” is a new program offered by Box Tops. Teachers can set up a “registry” for items they would like for their classroom. You can either purchase their requested items or you can add money to their “Piggy Bank” so they can make their own purchases. This alone can save you time and energy searching for the perfect teacher gifts… get them something they want!
OH YEAH! THERE IS MORE --- BONUS FEATURES - Each month Box Tops and Giant Eagle have a different promotion. During the month of September purchase ANY 10 Box Top products with your Giant Eagle card in a single transaction and you will receive a coupon at the register worth 70 Bonus Box Tops! That’s $7.00 right back to St. Albert!
AND STILL MORE --- From September 8th through September 11th we will be holding a friendly competition between grades. The winning grade with the most Box Tops turned in during that week will receive a pizza party! (Date TBA).
