Hello!!! Welcome to 7th grade LA and Reading
7th grade writing samples are during the week of November 16
Language Arts Update: 11-2-09
We are moving on from our descriptive narratives to a unit on punctuation.
During this unit, there will be plenty of opportunities for grades. I will be
collecting almost every homework assignment for a grade.
Throughout the course of the week, I'll be passing out a plethora of graded
papers. Look for them almost all week.
Reading Update:11-2-09
We are continuing to read Mark Twain's classic novel, Tom Sawyer. (the
website doesn't let me italicize) We will be reading chapters 14-18
(hopefully).
We will have a Vocabulary Test every other week. During our vocab week, we
the students will have to create sentences for the words. These sentences
will be due on Tuesday and Wednesday. Synonyms and Antonyms will be due on
Wednesday and Completing the Sentence will be due on Thursday.
Our library day is Tuesday. Each student can do a KBAR (Kick Back and Read)
assignment and receive extra credit for an upcoming test.
Just in case someone is absent, I'll do my best to upload any worksheets
that I can to the website. Please note the worksheets will be Microsoft Word
Documents. Other worksheets, coming from workbooks, cannot be
uploaded.
