Second Quarter Clues:
1. "I lived in a time before radios and stereos, but I was able to bring great master works to general audiences
in a similar way, because I was able to score entire symphonies and operas for piano, and play them in the
first ever piano recitals."
2. "I had perfect pitch, and I was also the first known musician to play all of my concerts from memory."
3. "It is believed that I had extremely large hands, because I was able to play huge leaps on the piano at a very
quick tempo. In many cases, I was the only one at the time able to play the music I wrote."
4. "I am known as the 'King of the Piano.' I was what you would call a piano virtuoso."
Second Quarter Prize:
TBA
Game Rules:
All 4th through 8th graders can play. Each quarter there will be a new Mystery Musician contest. Your job is to try and guess who the Mystery Musician of the quarter is! The musical sky is the limit!! It could be any musician famous or not. You can use the internet, google, your family and friends....ANYTHING you can think of to help you figure it out. I will post a new clue every two weeks (check my "calendar" page for the exact dates). You are allowed one guess per clue. You can find the clues right here on my webpage and at school on my bulletin board. If you think you know, fill out a slip from my bulletin board and put in the "Mystery Musician Guesses" box. If you guess correctly on the first clue, I'll enter your name into the prize drawing 5 times. If you guess correctly on the second clue, I'll enter your name into the prize drawing 4 times. And so on down to the fifth and final clue, where a correct guess will get your name into the drawing one time.
I've made the clues tough, so dig deep for those answers! Good Luck!
Previous Winners:
