Dear KinderStar families, May 21, 2012
We are beginning to prepare for graduation this week! We are focusing onconsonant blendslike in the wordstree andclock. The sight words we have this week aresoonandsay. We are using the bookThe Wolf’s Chicken Stewby Keiko Kasza to learn about story elements.
In Math, we are finishing subtraction and starting geometry. In Religion, we are doing various activities to wrap up what the children have learned this year. The children who had a role in Mass this past Thursday did such a great job! I’m so proud of them!
A couple reminders for this week:
**GRADUATION UPDATE: Originally, we thought graduation would begin at 10:30 am on June 1.
However, the official time is now11:00 am on June 1. I hope this change does not inconvenience
anyone! An official graduation invitation was sent home in your child’s folder this past Friday.
**All library books are due this week! Please make sure your child returns the book(s) he or
she has checked out from the school. Children will be fined for lost books.
**Thank you to the parents that sent in pop or dessert for field day! Thank you also to the parents
that were able to come cheer us on! It was a fun (and exhausting) day!
