Christmas break will begin in a matter of hours (not that I am counting). I
hope that each of you have a holy, happy, and safe holiday time.
We had our Post Spelling Bee competition last week, and Steven Groh will
represent St. Clement at the regional spelldown at the Museum Center on Jan.
24. The 6th, 7th, and 8th grades had classroom competitions, and the
classroom winners met for the school spelldown on Friday, December 15th.
Drew Wilson represented the 8th grade, Taylor Gruenwald and Steven were co-
champions in the 7th grade. Molly Walterman, and Todd Greene were the co-
champions in the 6th grade. These five and all of the other students who
participated did a great job.
Thank you to all who supported our candy cane sale. Your generosity helped
us raise $250.00 for the Bikes for Uganda fund! That money combined with
the $70.00 raised by the Dress Down Day allowed us to send another $320.00
to the missions in Uganda. Our donation will make it possible for the
missions to purchase four more bikes.
Please continue to save Box Tops and Campbells labels. There will be
competitions later this school year, and we in Room 301 are hoping to win
them.
Thank you for all that you have done to make the first half of 2006-2007
school year so successful and memorable. (It is hard to believe that the
year is almost half over!) I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a very
happy holiday season.
