Homework is graded based on effort and completion. Students should attempt
each problem, show their work, come to class with any questions, and make
corrections during class to earn full credit.
Each homework is graded on a 5 point rubric, unless otherwise specified.
5-Homework is complete. Every problem has been attempted and student has
shown their work. The student has asked questions and made corrections on
their homework.
4-Homework is mostly completed. Most of the problems have been attempted and
student has shown most of their work. The student has asked questions but
their are no corrections on their homework.
3-Homework is incomplete. Very few of the problems have been attempted and
the student has shown no work. The student did not ask any questions in
class or make any corrections.
Students will receive a homework deficiency slip for any missing assignment
and will earn a zero for the assignment listed on the slip.
It is the students' responsibility to write their homework down and turn it
in on time. The students are given the first few minutes of class each day
to record their homework in their planners. The website is just an
additional homework resource and will not be used as an excuse for missing
work.
Anything less than 3 on a homework score is past failing. Any homework
assignment turned in with less quality than described in the 3 point
description is a zero.
