HOMEWORK
Week of November 16-20
Monday- Review new vocabulary and spelling words. Begin your book report.
Book report due on Friday. Did you do any “good deeds”?
Tuesday- Write 5 sentences using some of your spelling words. Print neatly
and use correct letter formations. RETURN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS.
Wednesday- Math practice pages 45B; fact practice 44A&B, 45. Tomorrow is
an “out of uniform” day! Did you do any “good deeds”?
Thursday- Read Where Do Frogs Come From? aloud to mom/dad.
Review your spelling words! Send in your candy bar….then you won’t have to
remember for next Monday! (see below) Did you do any “good deeds”?
NOTES FOR THE WEEK:
*Thursday is an “out of uniform” day!! Thank you to everyone for your
support of the Sally Foster gift wrap sale!
*Please remember that the students are collecting canned goods as well as
male adult sized gloves for a school-wide Thanksgiving mission project.
*In conclusion of our study of food and nutrition (and also the conclusion of
The Chocolate Touch), we will have Chocolate Day next Monday. So, each child
will need to bring a regular-size candy bar. We will measure, compare,
graph, weigh, and then eat!
*Our POW WOW with the kindergarten class is next Tuesday….thank you to
everyone who is sending something in or will be coming in to help that day!
***** This will be our last homework note until after Thanksgiving…… there
will not be any homework next week.
Religion- Being thankful. Introduction to Advent.
Reading- The sound of short u and review of all short vowel sounds. Using
reading strategies. Story sequencing. R blends (br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr).
Science- Introduction to amphibians.
