HOMEWORK
Week of Nov. 9-13

Monday- Review new vocabulary and spelling words.  Get ready for the 
fieldtrip tomorrow!  Wear uniform bottoms and your red St. Jude t-shirt!  
Pack your lunch and a drink in a throw-away bag.

Tuesday- Write 5 sentences using some of your spelling words. Underline the 
nouns in each sentence.  Print neatly!  RETURN YOUR LIBRARY BOOKS.	

Wednesday- Math practice pages .

Thursday- Read Space Pup aloud to mom/dad.  Study for your spelling test!

Notes for the Week:
*Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evening this week.  I 
look forward to meeting with you!
*Look for the attached “parent homework” sheet.  
*Please make sure that you have Wednesday, December 16th marked on your 
calendar.  That is the night of our Christmas Performance.  Look for more 
information soon.

Religion- Chapter 8- We Give Thanks to God.  Being thankful.  Be sure to 
do “good deeds” and bring in your feathers.

Reading/ Language- Introduction to short u (pup, bun, sun, club).  Remember 
the CVC pattern in words.   Story sequencing, cause/effect.  Sentence writing.

Social Studies- Introduction to Native Americans.  The Thanksgiving Story.  
Health-  Nutrition and the food groups.  I am still reading The Chocolate 
Touch.

family and grandparents.  We do not need the year, just the date.  PLEASE 
return this to school on or before Thursday, November 19th.  (i.e.  June 7th-
