My name is Ms. Julie Breckheimer. I have been teaching first grade for 8
years. This will be my second year at St. Jude School. I graduated from
Morehead State University in 2001 with a BA in Elementary Education. I
later attended the College of Mount St. Joseph, where I recieved a Master's
in Education with a reading concentration. I also completed the necessary
course work to recieve a K-12 reading endorsement.
I love the challenges and rewards to teaching first grade students. I will
work to make the classroom a wonderful and exciting place for all students.

During first grade, students will learn to read, write, and develop number
sense while learning from each other. We will explore books and become
aware of print all around us. We will learn how to use decoding skills to
become better readers. We will use a variety of materials to learn about
our world. We will learn to find God in all we think, do, and say. We will
develop reverence for God and respect for His Creation.
