About The Teacher

This is my seventh year teaching fourth grade at St. Jude. Prior to
teaching at St. Jude I had a variety of education positions. I taught and
was director at TLC Preschool in the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for five years
(director the last two years). Another parishioner and I started the Junior
High youth group in 1994. The following year I also took over direction of
the Senior High group at the request of Father Rick Dressman. I also taught
at Sylvan Learning Centers and Heads Above Tutoring, where I worked with
students of all ages (K-adult) in the areas of Reading, Math and Study
Skills. I began my teaching career at St. Antoninus in 1975, where I taught
second and fourth grades.
Since coming to St. Jude's I have served on several commitees including
the Science Lab committee, the X.U. Catholic Schools Initiative and the
Accreditation Core Committee. I have attained my Advanced Religion Catechist
Certification. In order to improve my computer skills, I have taken a number
of technolgy classes. I also represented St. Jude at the Westside Catholic
Schools Science committee, where we worked to improve the delivery of Science
education in fourth grade classrooms.
I attended St. Jude's School as did my six children, who range in age
from 19-31. My husband, Roger, and I are members of the parish and have been
involved in a number of volunteer positions.
It is my mission to serve the families, particularly the children of
St. Jude's School, as God's plan dictates.

Mission For The Class

For the class to support each other in fulfilling God's plan for each of our
lives this school year. I truly believe that God has a perfect purpose for
each of us. It is our purpose to live the plan each day, and to help all
those we come in contact to fulfill their plan, too. This requires prayer,
great love and self-sacrifice. The rewards are Heavenly.
