Parents,
On November 24, I suffered a severe dog bite (actually laceration of the
calf in my left leg). I have spent the time since fighting infection and
blood clots. On Monday, I saw a surgeon who said I need to stay off my feet
and keep my leg above the heart as much as possible, which means I cannot be
at school. He also removed dead tissue from my leg. I will see him again on
Friday and will find out if there is any more dead tissue and whether or not
I will need skin grafts. Rest assured that classes are continuing and your
students are in good hands. Please pray that surgery will not be needed and
I will be back to school soon. Thank you.
