THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION! *************************************************** October 4, 2009 Students in grade 6 are working on an Islamic art project. We are breaking this down and going through it piece-by-piece. This project is for a social studies' grade. Students in grade 7 have been working on making graphs in Excel 2003 and 2007 to help prepare them for science fair. We have been discussing variables/formatting, etc. Students have a worksheet with questions regarding the virtual experiment and the scientific method. Students will receive several science grades for this project. Students in grade 7 have also been working on writing a digital story. Students received 2 grades in language arts for turning in the story and for highlighting the elements of a digital story. Students in grade 8 are working on creating PSAs. Students have received a tremendous amount of class time to work on this project. All raw footage is due by Monday, October 12th. The rubric is posted on Option C with the assignment. September 8, 2009 I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! Thank you to all students that brought in their AUPs. Many arrived on Friday. I appreciate that you listened in class and brought the AUPs to me on Friday. Once again, thank you. Please be sure to bring notebooks and flash drives to class on Thursday. Parent Interest Inventories are due this Thursday, September 10th. If you miss class on Thursday, please be sure to see me. You will miss many things that you need to know. August 30, 2009 Computer classes begin Monday, August 31st. Students who need to stay after school may do so on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
