PROCEDURES FOR SEVERE WEATHER DELAYS AND SCHOOL CLOSINGS
2006 – 2007
If St. Mary School needs to close or delay the opening of the school due to
severe weather conditions or for other reasons, we will notify families
through the following telephone chain.
Each classroom teacher will begin the chain by calling a room mom assigned
to that room. Then each family will receive one phone call and must pass the
message to the next family in the chain IMMEDIATELY.
AN ADULT, NEVER A CHILD, SHOULD DO THE PHONE CALLING.
Please speak to the ADULT in the family when giving the message. If you
cannot reach one of the families assigned to you, please call the next
family on the chain so that the message reaches all. (Please note St. Mary
School-Hyde Park does NOT use the radio or TV to notify families.
All families should have been contacted by 7:15 A.M. Your cooperation and
accuracy is critical and very much appreciated.
