Welcome back!!! I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. Looking forward
to the week of November 30...Our pretest in spelling is on unit 13. All of
the words have an oi or oy in them. Our pretest is on Wednesday, December
2. We are going to start our study of multiplication on Monday, November
30. Advent has begun. We will be studying this holy season in religion
class. Each child will make a paper candle on which he/she will write one
way they will prepare for the coming of Jesus. Our "Good News" religion
booklet will highlight the four weeks of Advent. Missing assignment sheet for
the week of November 30 will come home on Monday. I will not send home a
Weekly Progress Report since I just spoke with you at parent-teacher
conferences. We will be finishing our reading of "The Dragonling" on
Monday. We will be making a character flip book to summarize our unit. Math
test for chapter 6 is coming home to be signed and corrected. Also coming
home is chapter 2 social studies test to be signed. We are beginning a new
unit of study in science this week. We are studying the phases of matter.
Next week we will be going on a field trip to Children's Theater to see
Holiday Follies.
