I will be sending book orders home approximately every 5 to 6 weeks. (It actually depends on how much you order. If people are not ordering, I will only send home the order forms every other month or less)
I will send home paper order forms from Scholastic. You simply choose the books your child would like, fill out the form on the back, enclose a check (no cash please) made out to Scholastic Book Clubs and enclose both the form and check in an envelope. Please put your child's name on both the envelope and the order form. once in awhile I get a form with no name and if I don't notice right away, we have problems when the books come in and I have no idea who they are supposed to go to! Twice in my career I have had to just finally add the books to our class collection because no one ever claimed them!
You may also order online. Go to parents.scholastic.com/parentordering/login.jsp. Our class user name is MrsWintersClass2. Our password is room2B. You can fill out your order online and pay with your credit card. The books will still be delivered to our classroom to be distributed. We also still get the points from your order to earn free classroom books!
If you ever choose to purchase books as a gift for your child, simply mark this on the form (so your child can't see) and write my name on the envelope. Also let me know how I should notify you, email or a phone number or a note home. I will contact you when the books arrive.
***I highly encourage you to try to order books for your child when financially feasible. It is a great encouragement for the love of reading we hope to instill in your child. They LOVE book delivery day and get so excited about new books. Plus, we earn bonus points for each dollar spent. Those are then used to purchase classroom books for our library. |
