Welcome to Kindergarten at St. Teresa! We are excited for the year to begin and have a lot of fun activities planned. Our first week went very well! The children seem to be getting in their routine and used to being in school. We have been talking a lot about the rules and procedures and are trying to get to know one another. We read the story The Kissing Hand and completed several activities to go along with the story. Ask your child to tell you what time of day Chester the raccoon went to school and why his mom kissed his hand and he kissed hers. We know you have received a lot of paperwork from school. Please try to get that turned in as soon as possible. We appreciate it!

            Please check your child's planner/notebook every night for important papers and sign or initial nightly.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us by note, e-mail, or phone.

        Please be sure your child has all of the school supplies that were requested for the year.  It makes it a lot easier for everyone if each child is prepared each day.  You can find the list of supplies on the St. Teresa Website.
  
      We encourage you to practice sight/popcorn words, number and letter recognition skills, and read with/to your child for 10-20 minutes nightly.
