Can my child buy food and drink items at lunch?

Yes.  There are a variety of items for sale on a daily basis.  
These include: milk, orange juice, chips, pretzels, crackers, and 
more. Drinks are 25 cents each and snacks vary from 10-50 cents 
each.

What should I do if my child forgot his or her lunch?

Have no fear! Mrs. Veder will give your child something to eat.  
She will not usually remember to send a note home to reimburse 
her for the food, but you are welomce to send in about 75 cents 
or $1 to repay her if you remember.  If you do want to drop off a 
discovered forgotten lunch it should be placed on teh table 
outside the lunchroom before 11:40am.

What time does kindergarten have recess?

We have a morning recess Monday-Friday 9:30-about 10:00am.  
Also, we have a recess in the afternoon from about 1:00-1:30pm.

Is there a snack time and what should I pack for it?

Yes, we will have a morning snack every day.  Please try to pack 
a nutrious snack (fruit, veggies, pretzels, gogurt, etc.) for 
your child and one that does not require a spoon or fork.

Where should I pick my child up after school?

The kindergarten students will be dismissed from the main school 
doors on Rulison Avenue.  We will dismiss a little earlier 
(2:20pm) than the rest of the school to allow us to find you 
easier.  Please try to be there on time so your child does not 
get worried.  If your child is meeting a sibling please have them 
meet us by the main doors of school or in the inside hall if it 
is raining.

Can I send in treats to celebrate my child's birthday?

Yes, of course.  We have 21 students in our class.  We do ask 
that you please let us know the date you would like to send in 
treats and try make it something easy to pass out.  Thank you!

What is the best way to contact Mrs. Miller?

I am always available for any questions or concerns.  The easiest 
way to contact me would be through email or a letter in your 
child's planner.  I will get back to you as soon as possible and 
do check email daily.  I am not the best at checking my voicemail 
though, just becasue no one ever calls my school voicemail. :-)
