This is what we will be learning about in class:

Reading/Phonics: The students will be reading the story Lunch Time! during centers, learning the sight words I, am, at, can, practicing letter recognition and sounds for the consonants.  

Language Arts:  Learning that nouns are people, places, and things.  Ask your child to give you an example of a noun naming a person (general or proper).

Math: counting to and writing the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Religion: Thanking God and things we are thankful for.

Handwriting: correct hold/grip for a pencil, writing numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 correctly.  Ask your child to sing our numbers song to help them form the letters the correct way.   

Social Studies: Our Earth - seasons, land and water, our country's, continent and state's name, ways to save and help the Earth 

Others: the first Thanksgiving with the Pilgrims and Indians
