Dear Parents,

Just a reminder! I sent home the November Lucky Book Club information
last Friday. The orders are due by this Friday, November 6th. I thought I
would order early so that the kids would get the books before Thanksgiving.
If you order on line, you could also order more challenging books if your
child is reading on the 4th or 5th grade reading level. One of the parents
is ordering a "surprise" book for St. Nick. Also, if you order on-line, you
get a coupon for a free book. Thanks!

Dear Parents,

Happy All Saints' Day! Hopefully, we can help our children to grow up
to be saints. St. Teresa started by doing the little things for Jesus. She
was a great example.

Happy Belated Halloween! We were really busy on Friday. Our room
mothers gave a great Halloween Party. We had a Simple Solution Test and a
Science Test. We just ran out of time to do the Spelling Test. So I told
them it was my "trick or treat" for Halloween. We also had Officer Lillis
come and talk to the kids about being safe on Halloween, and letting our
parents check our candy. We also played Halloween games during Computer
class.

It's 3A's turn to plan Mass on Wednesday November 18th. Please join us
and pray with us. We have so many things to be thankful for.

We will read our Thanksgiving Play for the little kids on Friday,
November 20th at 8:15 and 1:45. I will send a separate letter home about
it. You are welcomed to pick which time you want to come. Don't worry if you
cannot come. I just want you to know you are welcomed. The kids like to show
off in their Pilgrim's and Indian's hats, and they get to read into a
microphone.

Report Cards are coming home on Friday. I have all my grades on the
computer, but a few kids have some "do over" pages. I hope they bring them
on Monday. A few kids were absent, and they need to turn their work in on
Monday also. When your child doesn't hand in an assignment, the computer
gives your child a 0%. Mrs. Wilmes is going to look at all the report cards
online. So we have to get our act together, and finish our work as soon as
possible. Thank you for helping your child do his/her work when they are
sick.

     God bless!

Love & Prayers,
Mrs. Garner

Dear Parents,

Please read the Family Feature pages 34a to 34c in your child's
Religion Book.

My picture was in The Catholic Telegraph on October 16th with Fathe Ken
from the Philippines. It's on page 11. If you do not want your paper,
please send it to school. I would like to get enough pictures to send to him
so that he could give the little kids in the picture a copy of it. They
loved getting their pictures taken. Thank you.

I gave a math test with 100 addition problems on it. The goal is to
finish it in 5 minutes. This Thursday, I will give them 100 addition
facts. Some of the children are still counting on their fingers. In
September, I gave out addition flash cards from Crayons to Computers. We
made subtraction school houses to study the subtraction facts. So, if your
child does not know the basic facts, he/she should study them for five
minutes every night until they master them with speed. Monday night's
homework is, Simple Solution # 29; Tuesday night, Simple Solutions # 30;
Simple Solution # 31; and Thursday night, Simple Solutions # 32. We will have
a test on Simple Solution #29-#32 on Friday. The Spelling words are listed
and the bonus sentence Our Solar System planets are Mercury,Venus, Earth,
Mars,Jupiter , Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

The room mothers are having a Halloween Party on Friday afternoon.

The Spelling Test is on Friday. The children are also suppose to read an
AR library book for 15 minutes every night. Thank you for helping your
child. God bless!

Love & Prayers,
Mrs. Garner

P.S. The 3rd grade fee is $12.50. Please send it to school as soon as
possible. Thank you!
