Many exciting things have been happening in the school and lab dealing with
technology.
1. Four SMART Boards were installed in the classrooms this summer. They are
located in 8B, 7B, 6B, and 4B. The movable SMART board will be shared by
teachers on the second floor. Airliners are used in 2B and kindergarten.
2. Four carts containing laptops and projectors are being shared by 1A, 2A,
4A, 6A, 5A, 3B, and Reading Enrichment.
3. A grant was received from the Scripps Company to purchase fifteen teacher
subscriptions to edHelper, an online subscription service that provides
printable worksheets to teachers. It contains a wide range of materials,
including math, language arts, reading and writing, social studies, science,
and much more. Teachers can incorporate these materials into their classroom
instruction.
4. A new scanner was purchased for the computer lab. Money received from
the recycling of printer cartridges was used to fund this project.
5. The updated Accelerated Reading List for St. Teresa of Avila School can
