ABOUT US
This will be our fourth year job sharing together and we truly can’t say
enough about how enjoyable and successful our first three years were as a team
for each other and more importantly for our students. We have continued to
have terrific feedback from our parents every year and really appreciated all
of the support and praise that was passed along to us! We have very similar
teaching styles, but at the same time have different strengths to offer to our
students. We are devoted to communicating on a daily basis in guiding our
students to reach their highest potentials. This ongoing collaboration
presents clear and consistent expectations for the students in Room 10!
ABOUT MRS. MORELOS
This is my fourth year job sharing with Mrs. DeLorenzo in third grade at Echo
Hills. I previously taught first grade down the hall for six years and before
that I taught third grade abroad in Costa Rica for two years. My husband Mario
is from Mexico City, Mexico. We have three children, Diego who will be 6 in
November, Eva who is 3 1/2, and our latest addition Mateo is 7 months old. We
also have two dogs named Oliver & Lola and a very fat cat named
Oscar. As you can see, there are not too many moments of silence around
our house! I was raised in Hudson, Ohio; however I attended college at the
University of Wisconsin Madison for my undergraduate degree and Kent State
University for my Masters Degree in Reading Specialization. I have spent a
good deal of time abroad in both France and Costa Rica also. I love to travel
and learn about foreign cultures. Some of my other hobbies are gardening,
interior decorating and renovating, reading, white water rafting, dancing, and
just hanging out on any beach. I really look forward to discovering all the
wonderful attributes you and your child will bring to our classroom!
ABOUT MRS. DELORENZO
I have been teaching in the Stow Munroe Falls District for the past nine
years. I was a long-term substitute for four years and this is my fifth year
teaching third grade. I graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary (along with my
sister, mom, dad and his 12 brothers and sisters, maiden name: Breiding) and
attended the University of Akron. My husband’s name is Craig and we have been
married for six years. We have a son named Carlo, who turned 4 in January
and a daughter named Sofia who turned 2 in March. They are the greatest joys
in our lives. I love reading, running, and playing volleyball in my spare
time. My husband and I have also been flipping (buying, fixing up and then
selling) houses for the past few years. He has a natural talent for this
adventure.
I am thrilled each new school year when I meet the families that will be
sharing their child with me.
We strive to educate your child in order to not just prepare them for a test
or a project, but prepare them for life. We encourage creativity, open
mindedness, good problem solving skills,a sense of community, cooperation and
respect for one another, and a sense of worldliness where we hope to expand
their perspective from themselves to being a world citizen. We hope through
our facilitation we can help your child to achieve his or her personal best
and have pride in what they have achieved. It is our great honor and
privilege to help your child along on this journey of learning and life!
Thank you for sharing your child with us!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Morelos & Mrs. DeLorenzo
