Some information that you might like to know:

This is my fifteenth year teaching English at Northview High School.
Before I became a teacher I worked for twenty-three years in the food service
and distribution business. Most of that time, I worked in sales and
management.
I am very proud of my family. I'm married and I have three sons, four
grandsons, and a brand new granddaughter named Claire. I also have another
grandson coming that should be here any day. I have a
huge extended family, four brothers and four sisters. Most live near the
Toledo area so we see each other often. My oldest son lives in Grand Rapids
Michigan and graduated from Aquinas College. He is Webpage designer. My
youngest son lives in Gainesville, Florida and he is a manager of a blood
collection and distribution center in the Gainesville area. He graduated from
the University of Florida. My middle son is a new father and lives in Dayton,
Ohio. Currently he is a stay-at-home dad.
You may wonder how I came to be an educator as a second career. I
have always enjoyed working with teenagers, so when my own children all left
for college I decided to go back to school and get a degree in education.
I’ve also always enjoyed reading and writing so the career change has been a
perfect fit.
There are many things in the world that interest me. I love baseball,
football, antique collecting and ballroom dancing. I coach the Northview
Speech & Debate team. Most of all I enjoy figuring out new ways to help my
students learn.
