Popcorn words are important words that keep popping up in our daily reading and writing activities. Some teachers may refer to them as lightning words, sight words, or word wall words. Whatever the name, the goal is the same: your child will be able to read and write the popcorn words quickly and correctly.

During daily journal writing, your child can find these words on the word wall in our classroom as well as his/her mini word wall inside the journal.
