News for the Week of November 16th and 23rd, 2009
Teacher's Corner
Thanks so much to all of you who came in for conferences last week. I really enjoy talking to you and discussing the progress that your child is making. Remember that if you have questions or concerns at any time, please do not hesitate to call, e-mail or send in a note.
As you can see from the dates above, this is our newsletter for this week and next week. Due to the Terra Nova tests that we will be taking and the short week next week, we will work on our reading story both weeks and not take our test until next Tuesday. For math, we will continue to work on 2-digit addition both weeks. This is a difficult concept for students, so please watch for math homework to come home on Mondays.
Our Terra Nova test will begin this Thursday. We will take 1-2 tests Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please try to make sure that your child is here at school on time as we will begin many of the days with testing.
Our annual 2nd grade feast will be next Tuesday. Please watch for more information to come!
I am thankful for great students and parents to work with! Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a few reminders:
Terra Nova testing will be November 19th-November 25th.
Our 2nd grade feast is Tuesday, November 24th.
Daily homework assignments are:
Monday-Math or writing

Wednesday-Spelling
Thursday-Reading story
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Elson
