       All I Ever Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten
                      by Robert Fulghum
          Most of what I really need to know about how to live and what to do
and how to be I learned in kindergarten. Wisdom is not at the top of the
graduate school mountain, but there in the sand pile at ... school. These
are the things I learned:
   * Share everything.
   * Play fair.
   * Don't hit people.
   * Put things back where you found them.
   * Clean up your own mess.
   * Don't take things that aren't yours.
   * Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
   * Wash your hands before you eat.
   * Flush.
   * Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
   * Live a balanced life - learn some and think some and draw and paint and
sing and dance and play and work everyday some.
   * Take a nap every afternoon.
   * When you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands and stick
together.
   * Be aware of wonder.

                              WELCOME
     Welcome to my website. I hope you will look through the pages and see
something that you like. My purpose is to keep the families of my students
informed.  I welcome any feedback.

                            SCHOOL HOURS

     School begins this year at 8:20. School is dismissed at 2:55.
Children riding the bus will be walked to their buses
through the front entrances. Children being picked up will be walked out
the back door. Parents should park in the lot by the soccer field and walk
across the bridge to pick up their children. All students will be dismissed
at the same time - 2:55.
     All children are encouraged to ride the bus to and from school. If
your child will be picked up at the end of the day, please write a note and
put it in your child's BEAR notebook. If I do not have a note
stating such, your child will be placed on the bus.
     The kindergarten students go to lunch at 12:00 a.m. daily. We follow
this lunch time with a 20 minute recess. The kindergarten teachers have
also scheduled an additional recess for 10:15 - 10:30 a.m. each morning. We
go outside in most types of weather, so please dress your child
accordingly.

                                SPECIALS SCHEDULE

     Your child will participate in 6 different "special" classes this
school year. We are scheduled to be in library, physical education (2
times), social skills, music, and art. We will be in a
6 day rotation for the specials. Look in your child's BEE notebook for
the specials schedule for the month. Knowing the schedule will
help your child be prepared for physical education (wearing gym shoes),
library (return the library book), and art (wear old clothes).

                                 SNOW DAYS

     Remember to check the school closings on questionable mornings. The
school closings are given on local radio stations (WFCB & WKKJ) and on
Columbus TV stations (4,6,10).
     If we have a two hour delay, your child's bus will run 2 hours later
than normal and school will start at 10:20 instead of 8:20. Breakfast is
NOT served when we have a 2 hour delay.

                           SUPPLY LIST

In Kindergarten ONLY, supplies are provided with the $40.00 school fee.
Because we do so much "hands on" type of activities instead of paper and
pencil, consumable activities - there are no workbooks to be purchased.
Parent need only supply a bookbag large enough to hold a 9" X 12" paper.

                               LUNCH COST

     The Union Scioto Board of Education has set the price of student
lunches at $2.00. The cost per week is $10.00. The cost for reduced
lunches is $.40 per day. Checks may be made out to Unioto Schools. Your
child has been assigned a PIN number. Please work with your child so he/she
can type in the PIN number at lunch time.
      Milk is included in the cost of lunch.
