We are beginning a unit on “Learning about People”. The theme of the
unit is learning about other cultures so, by creating an understanding of
different cultures, we can all get along in the world. I will be sending
home a form to fill out about the country from which your family, thus your
child, came. If you have any artifacts, please share them with us. We are
also looking for some family members who are originally from another country
to come to school and speak to us about their culture.
A note about a potluck is also coming home today. Please fill out the
form at the bottom, so we can plan the event properly.
Thank you for your wonderful creativity and understanding on Friday.
The schedule was tight due to pictures and Halloween, but the students looked
great and cooperated well. Thank you to the helpers, Tricia Cuevas and
Jeanette Gomez, who helped the students get ready. We paraded around the
whole school and we received rave reviews.

Student of the Week
Please meet Bryanna Perry. She is 7 years old and is a second
level student. She wants us to know that she is good at reading. Her
favorite holidays are Christmas and Halloween. She has five people in her
family; 1 brother and her Mom, Angie and Dad, Charlie. She has one pet, a
dog named Rocky. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher. Her favorite
color is pink and her favorite food is pizza. She loves her family, but she
really doesn’t like bees. Her hope is to get to Disneyland this year.
