Do I need to write out my whole oral presentation ?

Actually, the less you have written out and the more you speak
from your knowledge-base, the better.
The note cards should have clues or reminders of what you want to
say. However, you should practice what you are going to say
so that the presentation flows and you don't forget what you want
to say.
The idea is to impress the judges with your knowledge rather than
with your reading ability.

Do I need a prayer in my oral presentation?

There is no prayer required in the 2010 Oral Presentation. There
is however a requirement to tell how the topic you choose can
promote a Christian Social Justice Principle.

How should I get in touch with my advisor?

Write a note and have Mrs. Dubray or your homeroom teacher put it
into the advisor's mailbox. You can also write the advisor a note
in the journal which she/he will read each week. When you first
meet with your advisor get an idea of which days are best to
meet. Most teachers have meetings on Thursday afternoon. Mornings
are usually good but you need to have your driver agree
to leave early.

May I do my research on ANY topic?

We certainly encourage you to look at age appropriate topics and
to keep in mind that we are a Catholic/Christian school which
teaches the values that Jesus died to teach to us. If you stay
within these parameters, your interests are what matter most.
