  • Printed and turned in the XY scatter
  • Went over weather quiz 2 (block 2 took it today)
  • Learned about the 10 types of clouds and how they form
  • Watched a video on cloud formation and took notes
Before Thursday you should-
  • Read pages 54-60
  • Complete the reading guide
  • Review the information from quiz 2 and your notes on cloud types
  • Bring a plastic 1 or 2-liter plastic bottle if you have one

  • Correct your chapter 1 test. If needed, study for a retest.
  • Review notes. Make sure you understand today's topics.

  • Acted as water molecules and went through a model of the water cycle
  • Calculated percentages of time in each location
  • Went over how to analyze data from the ice-to-steam lab

  • Learned about the properties of water. Be sure you understand that water is polar and that this causes it to have a variety of properties such as: good capillary action, high surface tension, high heat capacity (specific heat), dissolves many substances
  • Discussed changes of state: evaporation, condensation, boiling, freezing (more on this to come)
  • Went over homework
  • Investigated condensation with ice water
No new homework for labor day weekend. Enjoy your holiday.
