Dear Families,
Here's a short note to let you know what's coming up after Christmas
break.
Spelling: Our spelling list for the week of January 4 is contractions.
CONGRATUALATIONS to the students who earned a 100% on last week's spelling
test: JULIE, E.J., MADISON, GRACE, BRADY, FAITH, and KELCI!
Social Studies: We will continue to work on map skills. We'll be
reviewing oceans and continents and learning the hemispheres, longitude, and
latitude.
Reading/Language Arts: We will review concepts in Unit 2 and take the Unit
2 test on Thursday, Jan. 7.
Math: We will begin Ch. 6 on time, calendars, and using/reading a schedule.
AR: The goal for the end of Jan. will be 20 points. Many students have
already exceded this goal. Keep reading! There will be a prize at the end
of the year for the student with the most points.
