PARENT INFORMATION
* Merry Christmas!
The children brought home a small gift from me to help them enjoy reading a
little bit more. I would love and am excited to purchase a book for them from
the next (or future) book club orders. If you have not seen the coupon yet
please check your child's book bag. Also, be sure to keep this coupon in a
safe place since I cannot replace those that get lost. Merry Christmas to you all!
* Please consider joining the Woodland PTA if you haven't already. They are a
wonderful organization and provide so much for our school. The cost is $4 per
person. I would LOVE to have 100% participation. My husband and I have
already joined and would love to have more!!
* Our next class auction will be the first week in February. I have already
started my shopping for items like: gel pens, highlighters, post-it notepads,
etc. They seemed to love these items last time. Any gently used stuffed
animals, toys, etc would also be greatly appreciated.
* Please be sure to send a note if you are going to be picking your child up
early. This helps me prepare them so they are ready when you arrive. Thank you!
* The Woodland Reading Club
Reporting for the 2nd grading period is almost over. The last day to report
is Friday, January 8th.The party will be on January 14th. Congrats to all
those already going to the party! Please encourage your child to read and
meet the goal for the next reading party!
* The winter weather is upon us, so please send your child dressed to play
outside. The children go outside for recess everyday unless it is below 10
degrees. They definitely need coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots if it
has snowed!!
* Book orders will be coming home this week. The due date for these will be
Friday, Jan.15th. Remember you can now place your order online, and we get
free books for these orders. i will resend the letter explaining this along
with the orders this week.
NEWS FROM THE ART ROOM
* Miss Borrelli is looking for some parent volunteers. If the times below work
for you and you would like to help please let me know:
Anytime on Mon, Tues, or Thurs. If parents specifically want to help during
our art time that's on Thurs. 11-12pm.
