Does my child have nightly homework?

Yes, you should be reading with your child nightly for at least 5 minutes.
I would also encourage you to work with math skills nightly. This could be solving story problems,
playing a math game, flashcards, etc...
Occasionally your child will be receiving more specific homework. Please check the homework
page for more information.

Does my child need to bring a snack to school each day?

It can be a long time from breakfast to lunch time. Unfortunately, due to an insect problem, we do
not have snack except for special birthday treats. Please help your child choose a healthy
breakfast that will control the "hungries" until 11:45 when we go to lunch.

Can my child send in a birthday treat for his/her birthday?

Absolutely, I would love to help your child celebrate his/her birthday. Please let me know on
advance if you plan on sending in a birthday treat.
I am unsure of any restrictions due to allergies as of now. I will update after that information is
available.

My child got the sharing bag. What should we do with it?

When your child gets the sharing bag, please help them find an object that is important to them or
that will help us learn more about him/her. They will need to give 5 clues to the class that will help
the class guess what they have brought. Please help them come up with clues (the children will want
to use colors as the clues - help them learn to more detailed clues.) These do not have to be written
but written notes will enhance this learning experience and will help your child remember the clues.
