Ordinal numbers-Ordinal numbers tell the position of things or objects.
Example:First, 1st, second, 2nd, third, 3rd.
Repeating pattern-A repeating pattern is one that does the same thing over
and over again. Example:red, blue, green, red, blue, green, red, blue,
green… is a repeating pattern because it repeats the same order of colors
over and over again.
Growing pattern-A growing pattern is one that continues to get larger.
Example:2, 4, 6, 8, 10….is a growing pattern because each number is two
larger than the number before it.
Pattern unit-A pattern unit is part of a repeating pattern. Example: In the
repeating pattern of red, blue, green, red, blue, green…. Red is one of the
pattern units. Blue would be another pattern unit and green would be the
last pattern unit in this repeating pattern.
Even number-When you make groups of two and there are none left over, then
the number is even.
