Hi! My name is Maura Hanke and I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten
at Saint Veronica!
I grew up in Rochester, NY. My parents still live there. They are both
educators and they are very supportive of my career choice. My sister,
Megan, lives in Kansas. She is a sports psychologist at the University of
Kansas.
I got my degree from the University of Dayton in Early Childhood Education.
After college I moved to Cincinnati. I got a job teaching first grade at
Nativity School. I graduated in May 2006 with a Master's in Education with
a focus in Reading from Xavier University. This is my 4th year at St.
Veronica.
My husband, Sam, is chief resident at Children's Hospital. We live in
Northern KY with our dog Lucy.
I am a big Ohio State football fan, and I am beginning to jump on the
Bengal's train. I love to read, watch TV, play games, and I am always up to
date on the latest celeb gossip!
My husband and I are expecting our first child in April! We are so excited
to be parents!
Kindergarten is off to a great start!
