2009 – 2010

 

 

First / Third Quarter:

 

         Week 1          Introduction to class.  Project #1 – Using “Creative” Cameras project begins. 

                               Begin construction of self-assembly large format cameras.

         Week 2          Project #1 film due.  Develop film & print contact sheets.  Printing Project #1. 

         Week 3          Project #2 – Digital Photography begins.  Select Documentary Project.

         Week 4          Project #2 images due on CD or Jump Drive.  Image manipulation and inkjet printing.

         Week 5          Introduction to large format photography (4x5 and 8x10 cameras) and the Zone System.

                              Project #3 – Large Format Photography begins.  Critique Sessions.

         Week 6          Project #3 film due.  Develop film & print contact sheets.  Printing Project #3. 

                              Students’ work ready to display.

         Week 7          Project #4 – Photographer’s Choice begins.  Archival Printing Techniques begins.

                              Mini-project:  Tulsa State Fair field trip – night photos (Digital).

         Week 8          Project #4 film due.  Develop film & print contact sheets. Printing Project # 4. 

         Week 9          Handtinting photographs.  Toning photographs.

 

Second / Fourth Quarter:

        

         Week 10        Project #5 – Alternative Process project begins.

         Week 11        Project #5 film due.  Print contact sheets.  Printing Project #5. 

                              Mini-project:  Downtown Tulsa field trip – light painting / night photos (Digital).

         Week 12        Project #6 – Documentary Project film due.  Develop film and print contact sheets.

                              Printing Project #6.

         Week 13        Printing Project #6 continues.  Students’ work ready for 2^nd exhibit.  Critique Sessions.

         Week 14        Project #7 – Photographer’s Choice begins.

         Week 15        Project #7 film due.  Develop film and print contact sheets.  Printing Project #7.

         Week 16        Complete all printing.  Darkroom clean-up.
