You are then analyzing one or more of the elements of fiction. First, make notes in the chart format we have been using. Pick out three elements of fiction that seem to establish or support a theme. Then, look for specific examples in the story for each of these elements of fiction (with page numbers). Do not use any sources other than yourself. The paper should be 2-3 pages (typed, double-spaced with at least 8 documented quotes in MLA format. Write this in five-paragraph essay form, concluding with a sentence or two of insight. (Why do you think it was important to the author to write her/his work in this way? How is this example of short fiction especially creative or unique in its use of the elements of fiction? Why is it important to think about such aa theme as that in the story?</P> <P style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt" class=MsoNormal>The paper is due Mon., Nov. 2.
