Art I and Art II

Monday - Friday
1.) Daily Drawing from the still life - five drawings are worth 10 points
each for participation.
2.) Weekly drawing - our weekly assignment will focus on the concept of
color as having temperature. The assignment will demonstrate all previously
taught pencil techniques (transparent, opaque, blended, and pattern)with a
warm color scheme.
Tuesday
Art History: Albrecht Durer (Texture with a Master)
We will read a brief bibliography about the artist Albecht Durer and
complete a worksheet as a class. We will also view a few of the master works
of Durer and have an informal critique utilizing the elements and principles
of art.
Wednesday-Friday
Studio Project - Paint Texture Collage
We will create implied texture utilizing the medium of tempera paint. We
will utilize these textures into a collage format (landscape)to create a
finished work of art. This assignment will roll over into next week.
