Students will need a binder/folder to hold class work and
homework for the semester. The completed binder will be a part of the
homework grade for each quarter. YOUR BOOK IS NOT A BINDER!
All science students will need at least an inexpensive
calculator with scientific and mathematic functions. A graphing
calculator is preferred but not required. A graphing calculator will
be required when the student takes Algebra II.
All science students will need an inexpensive laboratory notebook
with a sewn binding. A composition book with quadruled paper is
adequate. Notebooks with perfect binding, spiral notebooks, and
three-ring binders are NOT adequate. All entries in your laboratory
notebooks MUST be in ink. Homework and classwork MAY NOT be completed
on spiral notebook paper.
Pencils are good for note-taking, tests, etc. Use typing or a
wordprocessor for written assignments. Word processor ordinary
exposition text fonts will not exceed 12 point in size and not have
the term ‘black’ in its name. Fonts that are this size are Garamond,
Times New Roman, and a host of others. If you choose a font that is
too large then you will have to correct it. Margins must be one inch
all the way around.
Papers may be submitted on disk or other media or emailed. Double
check that I received it if you use email. |
