Grading: Scale: 90-100% A 89-80% B 79-70% C 69-60% D 59-0% F 50% Test/Quiz (Daily, Weekly and or Monthly) 20% Homework/Class work/Extra Credit/Bonus 20% Lab Notebook 10% Class Project
Classroom Rules: 1. Always be responsible, respectful and prepared for class each day. 2. Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings. 3. Do not chew gum; eat candy or other food in class. 4. Follow the teacher’s directions. 5. Follow the Flinn Safety Contract, the contract will require both student and parent signature before participating in a science classroom lab.
Consequences of Failure to Follow Rules: 1. Verbal Warning 2. Student/Teacher Conference (Parent Notification) 3. Detention/Parent Notification 4. Counselor and or Administrator Conference 5. Referrals will be written depending on the severity of the action.
Rewards: 1. Bonus Points 2. Verbal Praise and Written Praise 3. The traditional "Mickey" and other classroom stamps.

Other Policies
1. All assignments must be completed in black ink. 2. Make-up assignments will be graded when a student "is absent only". 3. Progress Reports will be sent home every quarter. 4. Tutoring and make-up assignments (lab, test, etc.,) must be arranged with teacher.
