How do I check out a book?

Choose a book and bring it to the check out counter. Tell the
assistant your name and she'll scan the book and check it out to
you.

How long can I have a book checked out?

You can have a book checked out for two weeks. If you cannot
finish the book in two weeks, you may renew it for an additional
two weeks.

Kindergarten Students: one book.
1st grade students: one book 1st semester;2 books 2nd semester
2nd - 5th grade students: 2 books

You may not checkout anything from the library if you have an
overdue book.

What happens if I lose a book or it is damaged?

The students are responsible for any loss or damage to books
borrowed from the Prairie Vale library. We will ask you to
reimburse the library for the original cost of the book.
