I am so excited about this school year and the opportunity to teach your
child.
My name is Kelly Beagles! I have been teaching since 2005. I feel so
privileged to be teaching Second Grade at Deer Creek Prairie Vale Elementary.
I was born and raised in Edmond. I graduated from Edmond North High School. I
attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK. I got
married on June 24th, 2006. My husband, Cory, is a firefighter. I have two
wonderful daughters. The oldest is Audrey Claire born Sept. 3rd, 2007. The
youngest is Lilian (Lily) Beagles born April 17, 2010. I love my family more
than anything!!!! We have two dogs and a cat. A beagle named Bella, a Shih zu
named Conner, and an orange tabby cat named Strawberry Raspberry Crème Orange
Audrey Beagles. If you are wondering, my daughter Audrey named the cat.
My philosophy of education is that it is my purpose to teach students to
their fullest potential and to become successful citizens. My role as the
teacher is to be motivational leader, role model, counselor, and resource
for all students. The student’s role is to be willing to learn and try to
open their minds to knowledge. It is important as a teacher that I give an
equal opportunity to every student to learn to their fullest potential.
Meaning I will use different methods, strategies, and games to reach every
child’s learning style. In order for a student to learn I believe the
atmosphere must be a trusting, positive, safe, and a flexible one. An
effective teacher is one who is always continuing their professional
development, plans before, during and after every lesson, is empathic, and
consistent.
