About The Teacher
Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Cheryl Holman. This will be my third year to teach in Deer Creek Schools. I have 12 years of experience which includes teaching 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grades. I am a 1997 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. In 2004 I achieved National Board Certification. My future educational plan is to pursue a Master’s degree in School Psychology at UCO. My husband and I recently moved from the Tulsa area to Edmond. We are both Sapulpa High School and OSU Alumni! We are devoted Cowboy fans. Most weekends are spent following our beloved Pokes in football, basketball and even baseball! In my free time I enjoy reading, listening to music, traveling, shopping, watching movies, playing with our cat Vinnie and spending time with my ten year old niece, Lauren. I look forward to meeting my new students and anticipate a wonderful year!
