About The Teacher
My name is Laura Crain and this will be my 14th year to teach school. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2005-2006, I attended Oklahoma City University where I certified in Montessori Education for children ages 3-6 years old. I am looking forward to another great year at Grove Valley Elementary. I married my husband Jeff in 1997. We just celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary! Jeff is an attorney at Rainey, Martin LLC, and a Major in the United States Army Reserve. We have three children, Andrew (13) and Sarah Catherine (11) and Jackson (4). I love teaching and I love children. I know that this will be a great school year and I hope that every student in my classroom will have a wonderful first school experience.
