About The Teacher

Hi! My name is Marianne Austin, and I teach 4th grade math and science.  I 
also teach writing and spelling to my wonderful homeroom class.  
I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in elementary 
education.  This is my second year at Deer Creek Elementary.  Before 
teaching here,  I taught math at the Advanced Science and Technology 
Education Center (ASTEC) Charter School in Oklahoma City.

I am married to Caleb who is a civil engineer for the Oklahoma Department of 
Transportation.  I am a proud "mom" of three wonderful dogs, Cuddles, Buddy, 
and Gus.  I grew up in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, and always knew that I wanted to 
someday be a teacher.  In my spare time, I enjoy shopping, reading, and 
watching college sports.  I especially enjoy cheering on the Oklahoma State 
Cowboys!  Go Pokes!!

My husband and I had our first baby, Henry, last year September 19th.  You 
can see some pictures of him on the "Henry" page.  He is our pride and joy!!

I love teaching, and I am thrilled to be spending my days with such bright
