Besides being DCES's Media Specialist, I am a busy mother of three. My
older son is 9, my daughter is 6, and my younger son is 3. My husband, Billy, is
an OKC firefighter and a cowboy with a small cattle operation.
I have degrees from OSU and OU and can honestly admit that I love being a
student almost as much as I love being a teacher and Media Specialist.
Reading has always been a passion of mine and I can literally get lost in a
good book. Even with my busy schedule I find time to read every night; it is
my great escape from the worries of the day.
In our Media Center, we believe in the power of books to help us learn, to
entertain us, and to challenge our minds. We love to read books and
appreciate different genres and styles. We know that building a lifelong
love for books will help us grow and succeed in our futures. We believe
that information comes in many shapes and forms and that the constant
evaluation of information is necessary to shaping our ideas as information
seekers. We respect the Media Center as a portal to information and
resources.
